Skyrim Creation Kit Mod - King of Worms Returns

This is the more involved quest mod that I've been working on for the Creation Kit.  It's called King of Worms Returns.

The King of Worms is a character from Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion named Mannimarco. In the storyline from Oblivion, Mannimarco was a Lich Necromancer that launched an all-out attack on the Mages Guild in Cyrodiil. He failed to destroy the Mages Guild and was killed by the Mages Guild’s newest Arch-Mage (the player) with the help of the previous Arch-Mage, Hannibal Traven.

This quest line picks up where Oblivion left off. The quest will become active after the player becomes the Arch-Mage of the College of Winterhold and completing the main quest line. The reason being the player will need to use the Shouts they obtain from the main quest line to finish navigating through the dungeon within this quest.

The main goal of the quest is to stop the new King of Worms from fully transforming into an Ancient Lich and exacting revenge on the Mages of Tamriel.  Here are some screen shots of test area I have set up in the Creation Kit.  I'm using this area to test out gameplay mechanics before trying it the different levels of the quest.  I will also include the quest flow chart to give a better idea of the quest design.

Skyrim Creation Kit Mod - Little Problem

The next mod in the Skyrim Creation Kit I'm working on is called Little Problem.  The quest is set up where a courier delivers the player a message that ask him to meet a man named Hodlin.  He asks you to get his bow that he lost while investigating a strange noise coming from a well just outside of Riverwood.  Inside the well you will find Pygmy Dremora that are worshiping a pair of Daedric Boots.  It's an odd quest and but should be a fun one.  Here are some screenshots.

Skyrim Creation Kit Mod - Vampire Training

I am also working on three Mods for Skyrim using the Creation Kit.  The first one is called Vampire Training and uses the Dawnguard expansion.  It's an area just down the road from Fort Dawnguard where new vampire hunters can go and experience what it's like to kill a vampire.  The training area uses illusion magic to create the various encounters with in the dungeon and will reset if leave and enter again.  Even though it's a training area they make it as real as possible and you will get hurt.  Here are a few screenshots.

Gigabyte Defender Game App

Here is another game app that I have in the works for my portfolio it's called Gigabyte Defender.  The game is a top-down turn based strategy game that revolves around protecting a computer system against a viral attack.

Stop the Virus and Save the System! Basic concept in Gigabyte Defender is you play as the computer system and you are trying to fight off a virus that is trying to infect your system. By using various programs that are called Power Scripts that are loaded into your RAM queue you change the color of the hex grid to your own color.

When have enough hexes of your color that complete a circuit you can send a power surge across it to hurt the virus. Drain their power completely and you win. But they have the same powers and abilities as you do so watch out.

here is the original concept image (composited from found images on web) and an image from the game in Unity.  There is still quite a bit more work to do before having a finished prototype but it's getting there.

Dungeon Dice - Analog Prototype

I started working on a new dice game and built a physical prototype to test out the mechanics and gameplay.  It originally just started out as a analog table top game but have started designing a mobile version.  This is Dungeon Dice.

The game is a dungeon crawler pass and play dice game. Is similar to the Zombie Dice by Steve Jackson Games but with a Dungeon & Dragons twist to it. It is meant to be a quick set up and play through style of game with a full game of 6 people taking 20-30 minutes.

The game is played with 2-6 people with a 5 minute setup. It takes the fun of fighting monsters in a dungeon and collecting loot with the ease of rolling just a few dice. No adding up totals just looking for Hit, Miss or Wound. It's just that simple.

Here are some images that give a better idea of the look and feel of the game.  It's still in the prototype phase  and just has temp artwork on it.  I just used found images from the web that I composited together to create the prototype but the final product will have custom art for it.

Game Asset Development: Sniper Rifle

Here is the model I'm working on for my final project for Game Asset Development.  It's a sniper rifle from Fallout.  Still have some more stuff to model on it before I can get into texturing it but think it's coming along nicely.
